Our elders - My Grandpa

I sat down with my grandfather who is 89 years old. Asked him about his life. He talked about the world war 2 and about the great depression. He talked about his marriage and his life with six children with seven grandchildren. It made him happy and sad to talk about his life. I know he enjoyed telling me about his life and spending quality time with me. He always tell me that I'm his special granddaughter and make a huge difference in this life. also to tell you all the truth he makes a difference in mine as well!

  4. that's very sweet Vanessa...you're lucky to still have your Grandfather around...our elders are sometimes forgetten & not given their rightful place in our lives & our world. It's nice to hear that he has a loving grand-daughter. Cheers to your Grandfather, "to a long & happy LiFe!" ;)

  6. I have always found it really cool to listen to war veterans; they always have the coolest things to say! I'm glad you had good quality time with him, and continue to do so, because just like childre, elders need and want love and attention.
