Phychological Health

I now someone very close to me with a bipolar disorder. Its my mother. The description of this disorder is different moods and takes things differently then others. The first symptoms happen through out your life. Although when my mother and family realized she had it was when she was having trouble with her emotions and what she was saying. The diagnosis was easy for her the put her on medicine and helps her with all of this. She has came a long way.  My mother still deals with troubles with it today. I believe that it could of been prevented for my mother from what has happened to her in past of childhood to young adulthood. My mother was and is affected by this in her life by not having a normal working life she is on government help and does not live a normal working life. She is working on herself to get better as much as she can. She is a good mother and I am happy shes my mother it makes her special.

  3. Thanks so much for sharing Vanessa. I'm glad you have a healthy view of her mental illness & accept your mom as she is. I'm sure it made it difficult for you growing up but I'm sure it's only made you stronger, more compassionate, & more tolerant of others. Best wishes to you & your Mom on her journey back to happiness & mental wellness :)

  4. I have questioned myself of being bipolar, only because I feel my emotions to shift very often. I should probably get checked on that next time at the doctors, but I think one way people with this condition can succesfully deal with it by surrounding themselves with patient and caring people.
