Kids off drugs

I have a four year old son. I cant imagine when that age time comes around when I have to talk to my son about drugs. I believe that as a parent I can control this by being close to my son and talk to him about real life and drugs. I know this because I am not perfect, but I have been there and done that. I want so much differently for my son. I will just be involved with his life and to keep him busy with sports or whatever that is good for him in his life to come.

  1. You are definitely on the right path to being a great mom! My parents are the same way, they want to be able to talk to us and keep us occupied with sports and things we enjoy to keep us away from the "bad" kids.

  2. I understand how difficult it might be when it comes to protecting our children against the dangers of drugs. When I become a parent, I would do what is best for my kids so they could live healthier lives and avoid anything dangerous in the near future. Keep up the good work of helping your son!

  4. Yes. I agree with you. We should establish open relationship with our children and make sure they are open to talk to us.

  6. Sports is a great way to keep kids busy and off the streets. I hope that one day you will be able to feel comfortable enough to share your own encounters with your son; I know it has made a difference hearing my parents' encounters to help me stay away from drugs myself.
